April Evensen

Hello! I'm April and I am a background and prop artist working in animation. I graduated in 2013 from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Animation and a minor in Sequential Art.

 

Since then, I have worked on backgrounds and animation work on a trailer for a project called Red Origins, and various freelance projects and commissions, on top of my personal projects, which eventually lead to a position at Ellation Studios as a design revisionist on Onyx Equinox, where I did revisions for character, background, prop, and effects designs, along with full background designs adhering to the show's style. 

 

My biggest passion in life is animation and visual storytelling, and my life's goal is to create wonderful stories and worlds with vivid characters people can connect to and enjoy. Since I was a child, I was always drawing characters and creating stories to go along with them. From there I created multiple comic series and story concepts I wish to develop further! My dream is to have my own animated series.

 

I have had experience collaborating with other artists and writers in the past and most definitely enjoy team efforts. I love bringing life to others' visions as well!
